Shawn K. Jones joined Wilson Barrows Salyer Jones in 2007. Mr. Jones began his legal career as an Assistant States’ Attorney in Will County, Illinois, where he successfully investigated and tried numerous misdemeanor and felony cases. He continued his career in Chicago, Illinois working in a private practice that focused on civil law.
While studying for his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, Mr. Jones served as Research Assistant for Professor Larry Wimmer, Professor of Economics, Brigham Young University and Robert Fogel, Nobel Laureate in Economics, University of Chicago. He was also involved in student government and served as Intern for Nevada Congresswoman Barbara Vucanovich in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Jones attended Chicago-Kent College of Law and was a recipient of the Illinois Bar Foundation Scholarship. He served as Extern for the Honorable Judge Blanche M. Manning, Federal District Court Judge, Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Jones is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada, Utah and Illinois.
